what is the meaning behind the title?

Drawing Dead is a poker term that means you can’t win. No matter what card you draw, the other guy’s hand is better. The Faolan O’Connor’s part was suggested by my publisher to help with branding and separate the book from the many other books with similar titles.

I was fortunate enough to read an advance copy of this book. I loved the historical detail in it about a favorite period in history, the 1930s. I’m not much of a vampire fan but as a historical fiction fan, I really enjoyed this. đŸ™‚
